The smart BRAWO® Magnavity light-curing system now also in use at MRK

Müller Rohr- und Kanalreinigung GmbH based in the north German town of Potthagen is investing in its first BRAWO® Magnavity light-curing system.
Equipped with the latest technology and trained specialists, Müller Rohr- und Kanalreinigung provides a number of different services in the field of pipe and sewer rehabilitation. In this respect, the focus is always on quality, reliability and flexibility.

The BRAWO® Magnavity was handed over by Tim Bernschein, Sales North-East of BRAWO® SYSTEMS and the technical training was delivered by Nils Jankowski, Manager of Application Engineering at BRAWO® SYSTEMS.

The BRAWO® Magnavity was put into operation on a current construction site and was thus able to be tested in a targeted manner. Four BRAWOLINER® DN 150 with lengths between 8 and 10 metres were installed, all with an open end. The special feature: all the liners were easily able to be inverted into the pipes being rehabilitated not from the manhole, but directly from the trench.

Frank Müller, the proprietor of Müller Rohr- und Kanalreinigung, is delighted by the new light-curing system: “Using it from the trench showed how flexibly the system can be used in a targeted manner even in difficult access conditions. Even if only one access point is available on the construction site, we can now easily rehabilitate longer sections nevertheless. That saves time and ultimately money too!”

The  light curing system consists of an intelligent LED head with 96 / 192 high-performance UV LEDs, a 50-metre long combination hose with integrated power and compressed air supply, a retraction unit and a control box. The innovative and unique LED heads allow simultaneous retraction with inversion of the liner. Curing is thus carried out immediately after installation of the liner, without the need for additional insertion of the eel. As a result, only one access point is needed for the rehabilitation of a 50-m long segment. In many cases, this is the only way to make rehabilitation possible at all, since no additional access opening (e.g. inspection opening, shaft) is necessary, which cannot be created easily or only with considerable effort in most construction measures.

The combination of BRAWO® Magnavity and BRAWOLINER® is ideally suited to the difficult construction sites involving property drainage: the BRAWOLINER® can be used together with the light curing unit, and no additional liners have to be provided. This means that the outstanding properties of the BRAWOLINER®, such as its extreme bend flexibility, can also be utilised.
